This UNICO 20°87° Riviera Maya wedding was the perfect Mexico vacation that I think we all needed! Savannah and Reid hired me to tag along on one of their greatest adventures and I am still missing the sweet taste of pina coladas and feeling that Mexico sun on my face! I always think destination weddings are the best idea ever because not only do you and your guest all get to vacation together, but you can also plan your honeymoon at a destination location too! This wedding was really special for me because I got to take my mom with me!!! Though she didn’t attend any wedding activities, it was still really cool being able to hangout with her and do some mother daughter bonding time.

Savannah got ready at an off site location away from the resort while Reid got ready in their room! Savannah then returned to the resort to get her dress on and this is where my work started! Swiftly after getting dressed, Savannah and Reid shared a very emotional first look on the patio of one of the resort restaurants. We had to go straight into some portraits where Reid buried his face in Sav’s because he was still in tears over how beautiful she looked! After the rush of emotions from seeing each other, Sav and Reid joined their wedding party for some photos around the resort! Then the magical ceremony happened and WOOOOOOOOF- talk about more emotions coming flying at you like a race car! I really love watching the guest during the ceremony because that is where you get the best view of how deeply the couple is cared for. The reception followed the ceremony and there is where the guest LET LOOSE! I mean they truly really did get after it on the dance flood…. but I guess you could blame that on the tequila haha!

The 5 days I got to spend in Mexico with Savannah, Reid, and their guest was really the highlight of my 2021! I was looking forward to this wedding for a whole year and it truly delivered everything i was hoping for! Savannah and Reid let my mom and I join in on a catamaran excursion with some of their wedding guest and I think that was my favorite thing! You can’t beat being on the ocean with drinks and lunch, and then swimming with freaking sea turtles and sting ray! I really hope I can photographer another UNICO 20°87° Riviera Maya wedding someday soon!
